At Corewell Health in West Michigan, we pledge to take on the challenge to eliminate racism and its impacts on health, hope and lives, both within our organization and in the communities we serve. In 2020, we have reaffirmed this commitment with a Pledge to Act. Racism is a public health crisis.
We are committed to creating an interconnected, collaborative culture where all are encouraged to bring their whole selves to work; it is vital to the health of our organization. As a health system, we advocate for equity as we care for our patients, our communities and each other.
From workshops that develop cultural intelligence, to our inclusion resource groups for people to find community and empowerment at work, we are dedicated to ongoing resources that advance our values of diversity, equity and inclusion in all that we do. We invite those that share in our commitment to join our team.
We want every medical student, resident, fellow and faculty member to feel included and respected. We are committed to fostering and advancing inclusion and diversity in our workforce, workplace, leadership, faculty and programs. We believe in equity for everyone.
