Scholarships

Spectrum Health Zeeland Community Hospital is accepting applications for their annual Henry Veenstra Medical Leadership Education scholarship award. One $1,500 scholarship will be awarded to those meeting the following criteria:

  • Spectrum Health Zeeland Community Hospital active or courtesy medical staff member pursuing executive leadership degree or skills in health care profession
  • Currently enrolled in a medical school program (MD or DO)
  • College student accepted into an accredited medical school
  • Individual must demonstrate he/she has a desire to practice in West Michigan

To be considered please follow the application process with attaching the following additional documents:

  • Completed application
  • Acceptance letter from accredited medical school
  • Transcript
  • Essay, 500 words or less

The completed application, career aspiration page, and copy of transcript should be emailed together and submitted to kris.palosaari@spectrumhealth.org by March 30.

The scholarship award will be sent directly to the college/university/educational institution in the award winner’s name applied as a one-time payment to their fall tuition.
