See your provider virtually

Seeing a provider is easier than ever.

Care delivered virtually

Sometimes it can be inconvenient to take a trip to the doctor’s office. In many cases, there’s no need for one. Virtual options are available for nearly every need:

  • Symptoms of minor illnesses or injuries that you can treat at home with a provider’s guidance, such as colds and urinary tract infections, burns, bites, and skin conditions
  • Illnesses you manage every day, such as chronic pain, behavioral health concerns, diabetes and more
  • Follow-up appointments

For some virtual appointments with a Grand Rapids specialist, you’ll need to travel to a regional Spectrum Health hospital or clinic. A professional there will set up reliable technology for you and may perform a basic in-person physical exam. Ask your care team for more information.

Visit types

There are options to consider when making your next Spectrum Health primary care or specialty care appointment. Skip the drive. Save the time.

E-Visit

An E-Visit is a convenient way to get advice medical from a Spectrum Health provider for common, non-urgent conditions. You can submit a questionnaire about your symptoms and receive a reply from a provider. To conduct an E-Visit, login to your Spectrum Health MyChart account and select “E-Visit.”

Video Visit

See your primary care physician, advanced practice provider or specialist by video from wherever it’s convenient for you from anywhere in Michigan. It’s the same care, even better.

And there are ways to enhance your video visit experience. Similar to tools physicians use in an in-person visit, a TytoCare® Medical Exam Kit allows a Spectrum Health provider to take your temperature, listen to your heart and lungs, examine your skin for rashes, and take a look at your eyes, ears, nose, and throat—all from the comfort of your home.

Costs of virtual visits

Your copay will likely be the same for a virtual visit as an in-person appointment. Ask your insurance provider or doctor’s office for more information.
