Features of Urology
This is a short procedure that allows the doctor to deliver medicine directly into your bladder using a catheter.
This collagen-based injection can improve incontinence in both men and women. Some people are sensitive to the material, so a skin test and waiting period may be required. Contigen is injected around the bladder neck at the top of the urethra. It strengthens the surrounding tissue, to reduce bladder leakage.
This procedure can be performed in the office. It lets your doctor see the urinary tract, to check for problems. Cystocopy can detect early signs of cancer, infection, narrowing, blockage, or bleeding. A long, flexible, lighted tube, called a cystoscope, is put into the urethra and moved up into the bladder. Here, the doctor can look closely at the inside of the urethra and bladder.
Our surgeons perform this simple surgery as a form of contraception for men. It works by blocking the tubes that carry sperm, preventing sperm from entering the semen. This surgery doesn't require an overnight stay.
