Recovering from Limb Loss / Amputation
Limb loss is a traumatic injury physically, psychologically and socially. Our comprehensive program is designed to address these issues and more. Depending on your needs, you may require inpatient and outpatient care, as well as rehabilitation At Home.
Our inpatient program is designed to mimic the extensive research and experience of the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs. As appropriate, you will benefit from the timely use of post-operative prostheses for early weight-bearing and rehabilitation advancement. We have a monthly “Limb Loss Meet-Up” group so you can establish support from others who are experiencing limb loss. We also offer a physiatry-led amputee clinic, in conjunction with a prosthetists and orthotist, to help meet your needs throughout out your lifespan, as an amputee.
