What excites you about your residency/fellowship at Corewell Health? One of the many things that excite me about being here is the ability to work in both rural and urban settings, in both an unimposed setting and a setting where just about every specialty is at your fingertips.

Clinical Interests: A few areas of interest for me are rural medicine, preventive medicine, and global health.

Hobbies: I enjoy outdoor activities like hiking and camping, hanging out with friends and family and traveling to new places.

What excites you about your residency/fellowship at Corewell Health? I was drawn to Corewell Health in West Michigan for the opportunity to live in West Michigan while training in both an urban and rural setting.

Clinical Interests: My clinical interests include sports and lifestyle medicine, as well as global health.

Hobbies: I love playing and watching sports, exercising, going to concerts and traveling. I also enjoy exploring new restaurants, breweries and ice cream shops. Go green!

What excites you about your residency/fellowship at Corewell Health? I am excited to work with patients in both rural and urban settings. I look forward to learning skills that help me to excel patient care within both populations.

Clinical Interests: My interests include women's health, palliative/hospice care and addiction medicine.

Hobbies: My hobbies include video games, thrift shopping, art (watercolors, sketching) and hanging out with my husband and dogs.

What excites you about your residency/fellowship at Corewell Health? As a Grand Rapids native, I am very familiar with the reputation of excellence that Corewell Health in West Michigan enjoys, as well as the important role is plays in the healthcare needs of West Michigan. I am excited to learn and practice in the community in which I grew up and I hope to contribute to the culture of greatness that Corewell Health has fostered.

Clinical Interests: My greatest interest is in the critical role that primary care plays in an effective and efficient healthcare system. I am also interested in public & global health, specifically infectious disease and tropical medicine.

Hobbies: My wife and I enjoy a myriad of outdoor activities, including hiking, kayaking and biking. I also enjoy reading, home improvement projects and dabble in computer science.

What excites you about your residency/fellowship at Corewell Health? I chose Spectrum Health to be closer to family, because of my love for West Michigan and the scope of training that was offered during residency.

Clinical Interests: My clinical interests include preventative care, palliative care, hospice and geriatrics.

Hobbies: My hobbies include group fitness classes like spinning and barre. I enjoy watching sports, especially college basketball, football and reality TV.

Hobbies: In my spare time, I enjoy staying active through disc golfing and working out at the gym. I also enjoy playing the ukulele.

Why did you choose Spectrum Health for your residency/fellowship? I chose Spectrum Health for it's training in both rural and urban settings, as well as the welcoming providers and residents.

What are your clinical interests? Besides full scope family medicine, I'm also interested in hospice and palliative care.

Hobbies: I love travelling, concerts and food. As well as spending time with my husband and our cats.

Why did you choose Spectrum Health for your residency/fellowship? I chose Spectrum Health for my residency training because it gave me the opportunity to learn in both urban and rural settings. I also grew up in West Michigan and was excited to return to the area.

What are your clinical interests? Beyond full-scope family medicine, my clinical interests include rural medicine and women's health.

Hobbies: I enjoy all the outdoor activities that Michigan has to offer including hiking, kayaking, camping and exploring Michigan's upper peninsula.

Why did you choose Spectrum Health for your residency/fellowship? As a native of Grand Rapids, it is an honor to train and serve the community where I was born and raised.

What are your clinical interests? My clinical interests are in preventative medicine and establishing a connection with patients to help guide them in taking charge of their own physical and mental health.

Hobbies: I love creating and playing music and adventuring outdoors.

Why did you choose Spectrum Health for your residency/fellowship? The family medicine program at Spectrum Health felt like the best fit for me both personally and professionally. My interactions with the faculty and staff were warm and genuine, and the location and quality of facilities was outstanding.

What are your clinical interests? My clinical interests are difficult to narrow into a single category. I love aspects of every single specialty and wish I could do them all, which is part of the reason I pursued family medicine in the first place. I particularly enjoy working with young patients.

Hobbies: I enjoy the myriad of outdoor activities and sports, with recent efforts to improve my golf game. I love going to metal concerts and rock music festivals. And I have a seasonal affinity for cultural strongman competitions like the Highland/Celtic Games which I participate in with my younger brother.

Why did you choose Spectrum Health for your residency/fellowship? I chose Spectrum Health as my first choice of residency for many reasons. I liked how there is ample exposure to both urban and rural medicine and a supportive faculty focused on resident learning. I was also impressed by their innovative ideas that are incorporated throughout training.

What are your clinical interests? My clinical interests include sports medicine, lifestyle and preventative medicine, as well as women's health.

Hobbies: My main hobbies include athletics and sports, music and baking.

Why did you choose Spectrum Health for your residency/fellowship? Growing up in Northern Michigan, Spectrum Health was a staple in my community, known for providing exceptional medical care. It was also important to me that I found a training program close to my family. I also chose this residency due to having diversity in training with both urban and rural medicine opportunities.

What are your clinical interests? Clinically, I am interested in outpatient primary care, women's health, obstetrics and international medicine.

Hobbies: My hobbies include traveling, slow-pitch softball and spending time with my friends, family and my dog, Oakley.

What are your clinical interests? My clinical interests include women's health and preventative medicine.

Hobbies: I love experiencing new things such as exploring new places through travel and trying new restaurants as as well as learning to watercolor and playing piano. I especially love spending time with my young family and taking them on adventures.
