Pediatric Observation Program
Children who need hospital-level care may stay in our pediatric observation unit for up to 24 hours. Local providers work closely with pediatric specialists at Spectrum Health Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital to create care plans for each young patient.
Whenever possible, we keep care local. But if children develop severe symptoms or need advanced treatments, they’re transferred to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. Because our teams work together on care plans, the transfer is seamless.
Providers can quickly and easily access medical records about your child’s tests, treatments, and more. That means when your child returns home, their primary care provider can offer coordinated care that fits their needs.
