PATH (Personal Action Towards Health) (6-week class)

PATH is a workshop that empowers people to take an active role in managing a chronic or long-term health condition. Workshops meet for six weeks, in two and a half hours sessions each week.

Prevention and Treatment of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)

Deep vein thrombosis is a blood clot that develops in a deep vein, usually of the leg. Learn how you can prevent DVT, and how early treatment is important to reduce the risk of complications. 

Stroke and High Blood Pressure: What’s the Connection?

Do you have high blood pressure? Did you know there is a strong connection between high blood pressure and having a stroke? Come find out if you are at risk for having a stroke and what you can do to lower that risk. 

Stroke: Prevention and Symptom Recognition

Would you know if you or someone you are with is having a stroke? Did you know a stroke can be prevented? This presentation will review: the risk factors for stroke; how you can prevent and/or control them; and how to recognize the symptoms of a stroke and what to do.

More women die of heart disease than the next four leading causes of death combined. This class will help give you a better understanding of your risk factors so you can take control of your health and prevent heart disease.
