Surgical Patient Optimization Summit 2.0 will examine the benefits of optimizing surgical patients prior to having surgery. This multifaceted issue extends beyond clearing patients for surgery. During this summit we will discuss the comorbidities associated with patient optimization, the impact of health care costs on non-optimized patients; including the key role of the Surgical Optimization Center, and the role of the Primary Care Physician in optimizing their patients. In today’s rapidly evolving value-based environment, surgical patient optimization will become even more important.
