Pelvic Therapy

About Our Service

Disorders of the pelvic floor can be both painful and embarrassing. In many cases, these disorders can be treated without the need for surgery. Spectrum Health offers outpatient rehabilitation to help men, women and pediatrics with pelvic control, strength, relaxation and function.

Our compassionate therapists have specialized training in pelvic disorders and offer a wide variety of treatment options. Our goal is to help you reclaim your freedom and return comfortably and confidentially to your daily activities. We work one-on-one with you in a private setting using the latest technology and procedures. By restoring muscle balance, pain is decreased and your quality of life is improved.

Pelvic pain is often caused by stress, childbirth, adhesions, injury, surgery or other causes. Your muscles, joints and connective tissue of the pelvis may become restricted and imbalanced and cause pain and dysfunction. Pelvic muscles, joints and connective tissue may also be stretched and weakened from childbirth, prostate surgery, aging, hormonal changes and chronic constipation.
