Hand and upper extremity therapy

Therapy Spectrum Health’s team of certified hand therapists offers specialized rehabilitation to patients with shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand and finger injuries. Injury can limit participation in everyday activity due to pain, decreased range of motion, edema, scar adhesions, weakness, wounds, hypersensitivity and/or decreased sensation. Hand therapists help to address these issues with treatments designed to promote healing, restore function and optimize recovery.

Our hand therapists have advanced training and utilize the latest technology and research-based treatments. Hand therapists work in collaboration with physicians and patients to restore function, maintain use or prevent further injury. Personalized treatment plans are developed for each patient based on diagnosis and desired outcomes.
