Aortic pathology (thoracic aneurysm)
Spectrum Health is a high-volume center for aortic disease and acute Type A aortic dissections. We serve as a quaternary referral center for complex cases and provide medical and surgical expertise from endovascular repair to open surgical approach. Patients are closely monitored in our Aortic Clinic to identify if repair is needed. A multidisciplinary cardiac and vascular aortic surgery team follows and handles long-term management of all aortic pathology including the following:
- Aneurysm
- Aortic root disease
- Dissection
- Intramural hematoma
- Penetrating ulcer
