Lungs, Breathing and Sleep Conditions in Children
We believe that you should be in charge of your child’s lung and sleep problems; they should not be in charge of you. Our team of pediatric pulmonology and sleep medicine specialists are experts in diagnosing and treating infants, children and teens with breathing disorders and sleep problems. Our doctors, nurse practitioners and physician assistants are highly trained professionals with many years of experience. We also offer the special assistance of pediatric pulmonary dietitians, respiratory therapists, psychologists and medical social workers to help manage the complex needs of children in Michigan.
We have assembled outstanding technologies and services to diagnose issues quickly and offer leading-edge treatments for our families.
We offer flexible bronchoscopy to examine the inside of the airways to diagnose and treat more complex airway problems. Our innovative services include a special breathing test for young children or those with special needs, and we offer a Pediatric Home Ventilator Clinic for technology-dependent children. We’re proud to have the only pediatric pulmonary function testing lab in West Michigan.
Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital is a nationally accredited cystic fibrosis care center and is leading the most current cystic fibrosis specialty research as a Therapeutic Development Network Center designated by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This means we bring state-of-the-art research and new therapies right to our local cystic fibrosis community.
We also offer the only pediatric sleep program in West Michigan.
