Visiting Nurse Association

Visiting Nurse Association has been West Michigan’s trusted provider of home care services for more than 120 years. We bring a multidisciplinary approach to care and provide advanced treatments and new technologies to meet your individual needs.  

Our services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our goal is to see you quickly after a referral, with same-day services available. Our professional care team includes rehabilitation specialists, nurses, dietitians, medical social workers, certified wound specialists, pediatric nurses and home health aides.

In addition to the programs listed below, Visiting Nurse Association offers other services like safety evaluations, blood draws, infusions and flu shots.

Features of Visiting Nurse Association

Better Balance

The goal of our Better Balance Program is to help you remain mobile, safe and independent in your home. To achieve this, our multidisciplinary team, which includes a certified vestibular therapist, will evaluate your situation and create a personalized fall prevention plan. Together, we work with you on balance improvement and reducing the risk of falls.

Cancer Rehabilitation

Our program helps cancer survivors physically and emotionally heal from the side-effects of treatments. Our team includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, nurses, social workers and physicians.

Cardiovascular Transitions

Fred and Lena Meijer Heart Center and Spectrum Health Rehabilitation have partnered to provide a cardiac specialty program for patients suffering from congestive heart failure, acute coronary syndrome and other heart and vascular conditions.

Joint Replacement Rehabilitation

Our Joint Success program provides customized care to patients recovering from total knee or hip replacement surgery. Our program is centered on evidence-based techniques to help you achieve the greatest recovery possible at each level of care.

Neuro Rehabilitation

Our physical therapy and rehabilitation experts don't just work on improving your physical function. We understand that neurological connections with your brain and your nerves affect your physical, cognitive and emotional health. Our holistic approach brings you greater success.

Pediatric Rehabilitation

Our specialized team treats children with musculoskeletal, neurological, brain injury and feeding disorders. Assessments and treatments are provided for cleft palate, cochlear implants, sensory integration, and specialized equipment needs.

Wound Care

If you have a wound that is not healing in a timely and effective manner, our skilled nurses will collaborate with your physician to assess, monitor and treat your wound at home. This program is highly specialized and personalized to your individual needs.
