On Monday, October 1, 2018, Lakeland Health became a division of Spectrum Health. The new entity is known as Spectrum Health Lakeland.

Spectrum Health Lakeland is a not-for-profit, community-owned health system, nationally recognized for delivering exemplary patient experiences and clinical outcomes. With a rich history that dates back to the 1800s, Lakeland continually works to create an integrated system of care that is accessible, affordable, compassionate, and responsible.

Our team of over 4,000 diverse and highly trained professionals works together to provide excellent medical services at 49 locations throughout southwest Michigan. More than 490 primary and specialty care physicians and other licensed providers from all over the world practice medicine at Lakeland —Berrien County’s largest employer.

We are committed to remaining a leader in the industry by investing in the best facilities, talented teams, and advanced services. The new Lakeland Medical Center Pavilion, slated for completion in 2020, is a mission-critical project that will focus on high-tech modernizations and exceptional patient experiences.

Lakeland always has offered essential healthcare services to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. In fiscal year 2016-2017, [Spectrum Health] Lakeland provided a total of $23.7 million in community benefits, including many that went beyond traditional patient care, to improve the quality of life in southwest Michigan.
