Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital is committed to delivering the highest quality of care to our patients. Modern technology has greatly enhanced the ability of health care organizations and physicians to operate with improved effectiveness. Videoconferencing technology provides health care providers, support staff and remote patients a way to collaborate across distances with greater efficiency, and, ultimately, enable a sharper focus on patient care. Our leading-edge telehealth service, Spectrum Health Now improves access to care for thousands of families. Telehealth lets physicians and patients interact face to face in a fast, convenient and affordable way without the need for travel.
We work with a variety of providers to deliver telehealth services through affiliations between Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, patients and outside institutions. Currently, we offer the following pediatric subspecialty services through telehealth: cardiology, critical care, dermatology, nephrology, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, plastic and craniofacial surgery, psychiatry, pulmonary and sleep medicine services. Our experts provide general diagnostic telehealth services in cardiology, neurology, ophthalmology and imaging. We also offer several family services through telehealth for children in the hospital.
We continually strive to develop new programs and are always researching and implementing new state-of-the-art technologies to connect patients, families and providers. Please contact our hospital operations team at 616.391.7848 to discuss how we can partner with you.
