Plasma donations are urgently needed. If you tested positive for COVID-19 or had a positive antibody test, please consider donating plasma. Visit Versiti to get started.
You must be eligible to donate blood and must have no COVID-19 symptoms at least 14 days prior to donation. Certain criteria is required for blood donation. A negative COVID-19 test result is not required.
Those who could not get a COVID-19 test at the time of their illness may qualify to donate plasma if they have a positive antibody test after recovering. Spectrum Health has COVID-19 antibody testing available. This testing is only recommended for individuals either at least 10 to 14 days after their symptoms began, or 10 to 14 days following an exposure to individuals with a confirmed COVID-19 infection. If you are interested, please contact your primary care physician, as testing requires an order from a provider. Thank you for considering a plasma donation and impacting the lives of patients today and into the future.
For more information about convalescent plasma, contact the COVID-19 research team.
We are so grateful for the outpouring of support! We received more than 10,000 reusable homemade masks and hundreds of thousands of medical-grade PPE donations from the community. You can still drop off reusable homemade masks to community partners. We’ve outlined a few below. If you’re a community partner and would like to be added to the list, please email covid19supplies@spectrumhealth.org.
