Praveen Thadani

Praveen Thadani is the president of Priority Health, a $4 billion health plan that is nationally recognized for improving the health and lives of the people it serves. Priority Health is the second-largest health plan in Michigan and the third-largest provider-sponsored health plan in the country and serves more than a million members annually.

Thadani is a transformative health care leader with more than 25 years of industry experience. His extensive background includes roles managing consumer, commercial and government health plan products. Throughout his career, Thadani has championed services and programs that manage medical cost, the development of value-based provider programs, new product development, plan innovation and unique market programs. Early in his career, Thadani helped develop a patented insurance platform—Interactive Health Insurance System—that was designed to activate consumer decision-making at the point of service.

Prior to joining Priority Health, Thadani held a variety of senior leadership positions with national health plans including both Humana and UnitedHealth. In these roles, Thadani led strategic planning for multiple Medicare Advantage, Medicaid and Commercial plans and was responsible for driving strategy, growth, operations and integrations.
