Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)  ALSA – BIO3: Fluid Biomarkers with Deep Phenotyping in Patients with ALS

The primary objective of the study is to obtain deep phenotyping information on patients with ALS, studied at regular intervals over 18 months, in conjunction with biofluid collection over that same time period.

Epilepsy  SAGE – SRSE: A Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo Controlled Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of SAGE-547 Injection in the Treatment of Subjects with Super-Refractory Status Epilepticus

The purpose of this study is to determine the response to a 144-hour (six-day) continuous intravenous infusion of SAGE-547 compared to placebo administered to support the weaning of all third-line agents in adult and pediatric patients with super-refractory status epilepticus (SRSE).

Epilepsy  DSS: Decision Support System for the Lateralization of Medial Temporal Lobe Epilepsy

This study will collect medical information including MRI images and EEG results on patients who have epilepsy to look for possible links between the results. Ultimately, the MRI images and data could be reviewed and used in the future to help physicians, institutions, and patients determine when EEGs may not be necessary for epilepsy patients.

Epilepsy  Focal Epilepsy: Study of Imaging, Electrographic Signal Characteristics, and Neurobiological Features in Focal Epilepsy

The purpose of this study is to obtain a comprehensive database of patients undergoing surgical treatment for focal epilepsy in hopes of learning more about the causes and treatments of epilepsy, as well as long term outcomes.

Epilepsy  Neuropace: RNS System Post-Approval Study in Epilepsy Clinical Investigation Plan

This study will follow patients over five years in the real-world environment to gather data on long-term safety and effetiveness of the RNS system (a medical device that can monitor and respond to brain activity) in patients with Epilepsy.

Peripheral Neuropathy  PAIN – CONTRoLS: Patient Assisted Intervention for Neuropathy: Comparison of Treatment in Real Life Situations

The purpose of this study is to determine which of four medications (nortriptyline, duloxetine, pregabalin, and mexiletine) is most effective and causes the fewest side effects in neuropathy in patients that do not have diabetes. For this study, participants will be randomized to one of the four medications for three months.

Spinal Cord Stimulator  PSR: Product Surveillance Registry

This is a research registry that enrolls patients who will be receiving a Medtronic Spinal Cord Stimulator implant. The registry is a tool used to gain knowledge about the performance of the stimulator and how it can be improved. To participate in this registry, patients are asked to complete surveys or questionnaires.

Stroke  MaRISS: Mild and Rapidly Improving Stroke Study

This study will collect data to understand the long-term outcomes of patients with mild and rapidly improving stroke symptoms. The purpose of the study is also to examine the association between tPA treatment (tPA works by dissolving the clot and improving blood flow to the part of the brain being deprived of blood flow) and stroke outcomes.

Stroke  DART: HT-3951: A Phase 2a, Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled 21-day Treatment Study, Including an fMRI Sub-Study, to evaluate the Effect of HT-3951 on Upper Extremity Motor Function Following Ischemic Stroke

To assess the efficacy of HT-3951 (15mg/day) vs. placebo on upper extremity motor function improvement in subacute or chronic stroke subjects who have upper extremity motor impairment as a result of their stroke and who are undergoing rehabilitative therapy.

Stroke  RESPECT – ESUS: Randomized, double-blind, Evaluation in secondary Stroke Prevention comparing the EfficaCy and safety of the oral Thrombin inhibitor dabigatran etexilate (110 mg or 150 mg, oral BID) versus acetylsalicylic acid (100 mg oral qd) in patients with Embolic Stroke of Undetermined Source

This study will look to see if Pradaxa is superior to aspirin for the prevention of secondary stroke in patients that have had an embolic stroke of undermined source.
