Treatments for Sprains and Strains

Your Treatment Begins Here

The human hand has 27 bones, the foot 26 and the ankle three. We can treat them all, whether you need just the basics or serious surgery. If you do require surgery, which is possible if significant tearing of tendons and ligaments has occurred, there's no place better.

We are leaders in arthroscopic technology, which is a minimally invasive surgery option. This means more expertise, less recovery time and better results for you. You and your care team work together to develop your treatment plan. Learn more and feel free to ask us questions.

Treatments We Provide

Hand Therapy

Our Hand Therapy program provides specialized rehabilitation in treating pain and injuries of the hand, wrist, elbow or splinting. Our program includes one-on-one rehabilitation sessions as well as education to reduce the risk of further injury. Call us 616.267.0357.

Ligament Surgery

Arthroscopic surgery can repair serious damage. If you have a torn ligament or tendon, it is repaired if possible. If it is too damaged for a simple repair, it can be replaced with a tissue graft.

MRI Diagnostics

By taking a series of images using magnetic resonance imaging (or a simple X-ray in some cases), your orthopedic doctor can see the exact location and the extent of any damage.

Orthopedic Devices

Modifying your shoe with an insert or wedge can help elevate your heel to reduce pain and strain.

Outpatient Rehabilitation

Outpatient rehabilitation services are offered in a variety of settings and locations to ensure you receive the best treatment options available. Conditions we treat range from sports-related injuries and post-surgical conditions to general sprains and strains from everyday living.

Physical Therapy

A physical therapist can teach you special exercises that strengthen nearby muscles and ease stress on connecting tendons and ligaments.
