What type of treatment can be done for spider veins?

We utilize two types of treatments for spider veins. We perform both sclerotherapy and laser treatments. At your free consultation with our cosmetic nurse, you will go over a personalized treatment plan, estimated number of treatments needed, and pricing.

Will my spider veins go away after the first treatment?

We do expect fading on the first treatment, but it often takes multiple treatments to see final results.

Do I have to wear compression stockings after spider vein treatment on my legs?

Yes - patients who have undergone cosmetic treatment of spider veins must wear stockings for 24 hours, then eight hours every day for one week.

How long do I need to avoid the sun?

Patients who have undergone sclerotherapy treatment will need to avoid the sun for four weeks post treatment. 

Patients who have undergone laser treatment will need to avoid the sun for four weeks prior and four weeks after treatment.

What can I expect after my procedures?

Most procedures require very little or no downtime. Air travel and prolonged car rides should be avoided around the time of sclerotherapy treatment. Post-procedure compression stockings are often required after spider vein treatment. Discomfort during and after these procedures is generally mild and controlled with ice and over-the-counter medication when needed.

Are cosmetic treatments permanent?
