Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)

Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting is a treatment for coronary artery disease. Coronary arteries bring blood with oxygen to the heart. CABG is done when these arteries are severely narrowed or blocked. Your heart surgeon will use other blood vessels to make new pathways to your heart increasing the blood flow to the heart.

At Spectrum Health we use advanced techniques like multi-arterial grafting (using the left internal mammary artery, right internal mammary artery and/or radial artery).
