A cancer diagnosis and resulting treatments can significantly impact a woman’s fertility and sexual health. Everyone is unique in their needs and desires when it comes to sexuality. Issues that may arise include hormonal changes, fatigue, vaginal dryness, painful intercourse, altered body image and self-esteem.     The cancer menopause and sexual health clinic will help with sexual side effects that could be experienced during and after cancer treatment and explain which treatments can cause these side effects. The clinic will create a customized treatment plan based upon patient’s personal goals, medical history and life circumstances. The treatment plan may include education, lifestyle changes such as diet and exercise, and prescription medications.
