Why did you choose Spectrum Health for your residency/fellowship? Throughout my general surgical training I had several opportunities to visit Helen DeVos and Butterworth hospitals. I was amazed by the attitude, philosophy and motivation of all employees to stay committed to doing the best for their patients.

What are your clinical interests? My clinical interests include elective and emergency, general surgery, trauma surgery and surgical intensive care

Hobbies: Outside of the hospital I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend and our two boys. We are almost always off doing something outside or cooking delicious food and watching sports.
