What excites you about your residency/fellowship at Corewell Health? I am thrilled to return to Corewell Health in West Michigan for my training in cardiothoracic surgery. I did my general surgery residency here and thoroughly enjoyed the people, both patients and colleagues, that I worked with. It is a privilege to train in an excellent high volume center that prioritizes both education and quality clinical care.

What are your clinical interests? I am interested in thoracic malignancies, pleural diseases and the full spectrum of cardiovascular disease.

Hobbies: I enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter exploring nature, watching birds, hiking, mountain biking, nordic skiing, gardening and listening to classical music. I also enjoy reading books on theology, philosophy, ethics and history.
