Comfort and Community

Despite living 25 miles away, the Spectrum Health Zeeland Community Hospital Family Birth Center has always felt like home for Stephanie Braspenninx. Not only did she have four children here, she’s also a nurse on staff. For her, the birth center seems less like a hospital and more like a tight-knit community. She’s also our first patient to utilize nitrous oxide, or laughing gas, a more natural way to reduce anxiety during labor.
