CareCircle was created to help patients and caregivers build pages to share updates, photos and information on their health journey with friends and family. CareCircle is an intimate and secure digital platform that is free to use. To get started, create a CareCircle account and begin making a page.
If you would like to reflect, pray, meditate or simply sit in peaceful quiet, visit our multi-faith chapel. Located on Floor 11, the chapel is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A chaplain is available 24 hours of day upon request. Ask a staff member or call 616.391.1753. The pastoral care office is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
If your child faces a poke, a procedure or simply feels anxious about being in a hospital, our child life specialists will come to the rescue. You may also be interested in music therapy and other child life specialties. Ask your nurse or call us at 616.267.1983 to schedule a visit from our certified child life specialists.
Guest Meal Trays
Guest meal trays can be purchased by calling ext. 1-2553 from your in-room phone. You may pay by credit card when you place the order. Guest meal trays will be delivered to your child's room during scheduled meal times:
Breakfast 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Lunch 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Dinner 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
A telecommunications device for the deaf (TDD) is available for patients and visitors who are deaf or hard of hearing. Ask the nurse to make arrangements for a device.
Patient rooms are equipped with an in-room phone for local calls. Patients are welcome to share their in-room phone number with friends and families, at their discretion.
Internet Access and Cell Phones
We offer free wireless internet access. Mobile devices and laptops may be used anywhere, except in posted restricted areas. If you need help with access, call our Technical Support team at 616.391.4000.
All patients and family members have the right to clear, complete and understandable information. The Spectrum Health Language Services Department works 24/7 to facilitate accurate communication between patients and providers, helping you be an active participant in your care.
We offer free interpreting and translation services for patients and family members who are more comfortable communicating in a language other than English, or those who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Please let your provider or admitting representative know about your communication needs, in advance if possible. If you require an interpreter while receiving care in any of our facilities, please talk to a staff member.
Lost and Found
If you have lost or found an item, call 616.391.4377.
Notary public service is available for patients and families who are unable to access notary services outside of the cancer center. Ask your nurse or call patient relations at 855.613.2262.
To get free parking in the Spectrum Health visitor ramp (Ramp 3), have your ticket validated at the lobby check-in desk.

School at the Hospital
For inpatient kids ages 5 to 18, tune in to Channel 12 on your in-room TV for academic activities. We also have certified teacher support for longer stays.
Local and cable television channels are available in patient rooms free of charge. Closed captioning is available.
Our security employees are available 24 hours a day to help visitors, patients and guests with wheelchair assistance. We can also escort you to your vehicle. We're here to help in any way that we can.
