Kendall Mintus

Hometown:

Highland, MI

Pharmacy School:

Ferris State University, Big Rapids, MI

Interests:

In terms of all things pharmacy, my main interest area lies within cardiology. I am also interested in emergency medicine, however one of the most exciting things for me about a career in pharmacy is the ability to gain experience and practice in a multitude of disciplines. Outside of the realm of pharmacy, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, staying active outdoors, running, and exploring the continuously evolving city of Grand Rapids.

Why Spectrum Health:

Spectrum Health’s residency program offers a vast variety of core and elective rotations in unique areas, all of which involve working with multidisciplinary teams. Aside from program specifics, Spectrum Health provides strong emphasis on interdisciplinary rounds with pharmacist involvement to optimize patient care. Also consistent with a quality program, they are continually devoted towards education and teaching. For these reasons, my decision to choose Spectrum Health to complete my PGY1 residency was easy.

Plans for Next Year:

Currently, being at the beginning of my residency, my future plans are still up in the air!
