Hemorrhoids

About Your Care and Condition

Everyone has hemorrhoidal tissue as part of their anatomy but not everyone experiences pain. If you’re one of the estimated 75 percent of people that experiences pain and irritation from hemorrhoids, there is help.

Hemorrhoids are the swelling of veins or blood vessels in and around your anus and lower rectum. Signs of hemorrhoids include irritation or a lump around your anus, or bright red blood in the toilet. Because blood in your stool can also be a sign of other problems, it’s important to see a doctor for a diagnosis.
