Treatments for Maxillary Hyperplasia

Your Child's Care Begins Here

Treatment for appearance, on its own, can be an important improvement for your child's life. But maxillary hyperplasia can also affect eating, breathing, speech and oral health. To provide you with the highest quality care, we focus on more than facial appearance.

A key difference between many maxillofacial surgery programs and our program is that our experts are pediatric plastic and craniofacial surgeons. Often dentists lead programs, and are able to address the teeth. But with pediatric surgeons, we are able to address the full facial structure for more complete and long-lasting solutions for your child.

Treatments We Provide

  • Corrective Jaw Surgery

Surgery is done to remove excess bone and properly align the jaw. It is then held in place with small plates and screws. This can be done during and after growth.

  • Orthodontics

Braces before or after surgery can complete the full recovery of teeth alignment. This is aimed at improving appearance and your child's ability to chew.
