Treatments We Provide

  • Chemotherapy

Chemotherapy works to destroy cancer cells throughout the body. When chemotherapy is given after rhabdomyosarcoma surgery, any tiny deposits of cancer that remain can often be destroyed.

  • Radiation Therapy

High-energy radiation can be used to target and destroy rhabdomyosarcomas. During radiation, we take great care to avoid damage to the surrounding healthy cells.

  • Specialized Surgery

Surgery is an important part of treatment for most rhabdomyosarcomas. The extent and location of the tumor will determine which surgical specialties will be consulted, but they may include ophthalmology, ENT, orthopedics or urology.
