Treatments for Lung Cancer

Your Treatment Begins Here

When it comes to a lung abnormality, your diagnosis and treatment options are as unique as you. In place of multiple appointments to different specialists, our multispecialty team brings a whole team of cancer specialists together in one place, at one time, to make diagnostic and treatment recommendations.

Treatments We Provide

  • Biologic Therapy

This procedure uses your body's immune system to fight your cancer. This is done by either stimulating your immune system to attack cancer cells or by introducing agents it needs, like antibodies, to kill them.

  • Chemotherapy

This well-known cancer treatment uses medicines taken intravenously or by mouth to kill cancer cells throughout the body. Chemotherapy may be given before surgery to shrink tumors, or after to fight cancer cells that have potentially spread.

  • Lobectomy Surgery

A lobectomy is the removal of an entire lobe of the lung. Many types of lung cancer tumors can be removed with surgery. The surgeon removes the lobe, or section, of the lung where the tumor is located.

  • Targeted therapy

Targeted therapy is a new way to treat advanced lung cancer. These highly specialized drugs attack only cancer cells, leaving healthy cells unharmed.

  • Thoracotomy (Open or Robotic)

This major surgery opens the chest cavity for removal of a lung, lobe of lung or portion of affected tissue.
