Fit & Healthy Families 

This fun-filled program is for kids ages 5 to 12 and their families, to help them live healthier lifestyles. Classes are taught by a registered dietitian and cover topics related to nutrition, health and wellness. Exciting activities keep the entire family motivated, including incentives for meeting personal goals. No class Oct 31. Meets once a week for 8 weeks.

Joint Replacement Pre-Op Class

Individuals scheduled for total knee or hip joint replacement surgery learn about the procedure and rehabilitation process. The class is taught by a nurse, physical therapist and occupational therapist. A support person is encouraged to attend.

"Playing" Tai Chi 

"Playing" Tai Chi is for participants who have completed the SHZCH beginner and intermediate Tai Chi classes and would like to practice and refine the forms they have learned. Classes will also include a time for warm-up, cool-down and practice of Qigong breathing exercises.

Relaxing with Tai Chi

This class utilizes various forms of qi gong breathing exercises and the first six forms of the Tai Chi for Arthritis program in the seated and standing positions. Focus is placed on slowing down and using these practices to attain physical, mental and emotional relaxation.

Tai Chi for Arthritis

Recommended by the Centers for Disease Control for improving balance, increasing flexibility and reducing arthritis pain and stiffness. Exercises can be done seated or standing.

Fee: $55 for one day/week or $95 for two days/week

Tai Chi Punch Card

A 10-class punch card is available for those who have completed both the beginner and intermediate levels to attend any class. Card expires December 31, 2017.
