We've got everything you need to know about finding your way, getting comfortable, getting goodies and getting where you need to go once you're here.

Services

  • CarePages

    This free service helps you keep friends and family universally updated on your loved one's condition. CarePages allows you to post pictures and updates at any time. Your supporters can post encouraging words for you, if you activate the comments section. CarePages remain active until you choose to deactivate the page.

  • Concierge Services

    We can provide information on local hotels, restaurants, area activities and transportation services. Call 616.267.1234 or email us at conciergeservice@spectrumhealth.org

  • Gift Shop

    Located within the cafeteria.

    Monday to Thursday
    7 a.m.– 1:30 p.m.

    Please check with the nurse before bringing gifts of food or drink to patient rooms. Latex balloons are not allowed, due to allergy concerns. Mylar balloons are acceptable.

    You can also order items from our online gift shop.

  • Guest Meal Trays

    Guest meal trays can be purchased by calling ext. 4700 from the patient's in-room phone. You may pay by credit card when you place the order. Guest meal trays will be delivered during scheduled meal times:

    Breakfast 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
    Lunch 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
    Dinner 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

  • Hearing Support

    A telecommunications device for the deaf (TDD) is available for patients and visitors who are deaf or hard of hearing. Ask the nurse to make arrangements for a device.

  • In-Room Phones

    Patient rooms are equipped with an in-room phone for local calls. Patients are welcome to share their in-room phone number with friends and families, at their discretion.

  • Internet Access and Cell Phones

    We offer free wireless internet access. Mobile devices and laptops may be used anywhere, except in posted restricted areas. If you need help with access, call our Technical Support team at 616.391.4000.

  • Language Services

    Patients and families in need of assistance with understanding or reading English have free access to Spectrum Health language services. For interpretation or translation services, call 616.391.2175

  • Lost and Found

    If you have lost or found an item, call 231.832.3271 or in-room at x23271.

  • Notary Public

    Notary public service is available for patient families who are unable to access notary services outside of the hospital. Ask your nurse or call Patient Relations at 231.832.7178 or ext. 27178 from an in-room phone.

  • Pastoral Services

    Pastoral care services, including spiritual, religious, sacramental and emotional care are available 24 hours a day. Ask a nurse to contact a chaplain for you.

  • Patient Relations

    If you have a concern related to patient care or a Spectrum Health employee, you may notify any member of your care team. You may also call our Patient Relations team at 231.832.8550. Or email us at patient.relations@spectrumhealth.org

    Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

    To contact Patient Relations after hours or on weekends, ask a nurse to contact a hospital supervisor.

  • Watching TV

    Local and cable television channels are available in patient rooms free of charge. Closed captioning is available.

  • Wheelchair Assistance

    Our security employees are available 24 hours a day to help visitors, patients and guests with wheelchair assistance. We can also escort you to your vehicle. We're here to help in any way that we can.
