Services

  • CarePages

    This is a free service to keep friends and family universally updated on your loved one's condition. CarePages allows you to post pictures and updates at any time. And your supporters can post encouraging words for you, if you allow comments. CarePages remain active until you choose to deactivate the page.

  • Chapel

    If you would like to reflect, pray, meditate or simply sit in peaceful quiet, visit our multi-faith chapel. Located on Floor 11, the chapel is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A chaplain is available 24 hours of day upon request. Ask a staff member or call 616.391.1753. The pastoral care office is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Child Life

    If your child faces a poke, a procedure or simply feels anxious about being in a hospital, our child life specialists will come to the rescue. You may also be interested in music therapy and other child life specialties. Ask your nurse or call us at 616.267.1983 to schedule a visit from our certified child life specialists.

  • Concierge Services

    We can provide information on local hotels, restaurants, area activities and transportation services. Call 616.267.1234 or email us at conciergeservice@spectrumhealth.org

  • Guest Meal Trays

    Guest meal trays can be purchased by calling ext. 1-2553 from your in-room phone. You may pay by credit card when you place the order. Guest meal trays will be delivered to your child's room during scheduled meal times:

    Breakfast 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
    Lunch 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
    Dinner 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

  • Hearing Support

    A telecommunications device for the deaf (TDD) is available for patients and visitors who are deaf or hard of hearing. Ask the nurse to make arrangements for a device.

  • In-Room Phones

    Patient rooms are equipped with an in-room phone for local calls. Patients are welcome to share their in-room phone number with friends and families, at their discretion.

  • Internet Access and Cell Phones

    We offer free wireless internet access. Mobile devices and laptops may be used anywhere, except in posted restricted areas. If you need help with access, call our Technical Support team at 616.391.4000.

  • Language Services

    Patients and families in need of assistance with understanding or reading English have free access to Spectrum Health language services. For interpretation or translation services, call 616.391.2175

  • Lost and Found

    If you have lost or found an item, call 616.391.4377.

  • Notary Public

    Notary public service is available for patients and families who are unable to access notary services outside of the cancer center. Ask your nurse or call Patient Relations at 616.225.6414.

  • Parking Validation

    To get free parking in the Spectrum Health visitor ramp (Ramp 3), have your ticket validated at the lobby check-in desk.

  • Patient Relations

    If you have a concern related to patient care or a Spectrum Health employee, you may notify any member of your care team. You may also call our Patient Relations team at 616.225.6414. Or email us at patient.relations@spectrumhealth.org

    Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

    For patient relations assistance after hours, ask the patient's nurse to contact a supervisor for you.

  • Sallie Bender Guild
    Gift Shop

    Located just within the main entrance

    Our gift shop offers toys, coloring books, stuffed animals and other kid-friendly items. Call 616.267.0411 for more information.

    Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
    Saturday to Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • School at the Hospital

    For inpatient kids ages 5 to 18, tune in to Channel 12 on your in-room TV for academic activities. We also have certified teacher support for longer stays.

  • Watching TV

    Local and cable television channels are available in patient rooms free of charge. Closed captioning is available.

  • Wheelchair Assistance

    Our security employees are available 24 hours a day to help visitors, patients and guests with wheelchair assistance. We can also escort you to your vehicle. We're here to help in any way that we can.
