  • Ahlam AlMansoub

    Hometown:
    Detroit, MI

    Pharmacy School:

    Wayne State University

    Interests:
My academic interests include cardiology, infectious diseases and internal medicine. Outside of pharmacy, I enjoy hiking, yoga and meditation, painting (whenever I get the chance!) and spending time with family and friends.

    Why Spectrum Health:
Spectrum Health offers many of the rotations that I was looking for in a PGY-1 program. In addition to offering a variety of rotations, I was also looking for a program that provided opportunities to work with and precept students; Spectrum Health offers many opportunities to do so through the Spectrum Health Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiential (SHAPPE) program. Spectrum Health also offers a teaching certification program in collaboration with Ferris State University’s College of Pharmacy, something that was very appealing to me.  Finally, I was looking for a program with a large residency class.

    Plans for Next Year:
I am not sure yet, but I am keeping an open mind and allowing my PGY-1 year to help guide my plans for next year.

    Interests:
Outside of pharmacy my interests are outdoor activities such as running, kayaking and playing disc golf. I also enjoy cooking and trying new restaurants.

    Why Spectrum Health:
