Flowers
Hospital volunteers provide delivery services for flowers ordered from area florists, Monday toSaturday. Deliveries are made to all patient care units, with the exception of the intensive care units. If flowers cannot be delivered to the hospital, the florist will be asked to make a home delivery. Fresh flower arrangements, plants and special orders for flowers are available in both the Blodgett and Butterworth hospital Gift Shops.
Gift Shops
The Butterworth Hospital Gift Shop is located on the first floor. The Blodgett Hospital Window Shop is located near the main entrance. Each gift shop offers a complete selection of general gifts, as well as gift cards. A wide variety of items are available including flowers, jewelry, toys, magazines, cards and stationery, stamps, Mylar balloons, candy and snacks.
Newborn clothing items and some adult clothing are also featured. Gift-wrapping and delivery services are available. For more information or shopping assistance, call:

Volunteers of the Sallie Bender Guild staff the Butterworth Hospital Gift Shop. Volunteers of the M.C. Steketee Guild and the Junior Board Guild staff the Blodgett Hospital Window Shop. All proceeds from the gift shops support Spectrum Health Foundation and Helen DeVos Children's Hospital Foundation.
Gifts for Patients
Visitors should check with the nurse before bringing gifts of food or drink to patient rooms. Gifts such as live plants and fresh flowers are not allowed in critical care units. Toys should be safe for children and small enough to fit in a crib. Due to concern with latex allergies, latex balloons are not allowed in the hospital. Mylar balloons are an appropriate alternative.
