Spectrum Health Stroke Awareness Night at the Grand Rapids Griffins

March 17, 2017

The game begins at 7 p.m.

All, you are invited to celebrate the Spectrum Health Stroke Awareness Night at the Grand Rapids Griffins hockey game Friday, March 17, 2017 at the Van Andel Arena. Spectrum Health Stroke Awareness Night aims to increase awareness and educate the community about stroke prevention and ways to identify and react to the occurrence of stroke FAST.

Learn FAST | Teach FAST | Act FAST

Face - Ask the person to smile. Does one side of the face droop?

Arm - Ask the person to raise both arms. Does one drift downward?

Speech - Ask the person to repeat a simple sentence. Does speech sound slurred or strange?

Time - If you notice any of these signs, call 911 and ask for a certified stroke center.

The event will also celebrate some of our stroke survivors. Patients will participate in the ceremonial puck drop, a Zamboni ride and be given an opportunity to mingle with their care team, fellow survivors and family members, all from the comfort of a dedicated suite. The Grand Rapids Griffins has partnered with us to provide a discount code for each ticket purchased. Everyone is encouraged to purchase a discounted ticket in a dedicated Spectrum Health section. The promo code is SPECTUMHEALTH (all one word).

We look forward to seeing you all at this event!
